Stun master gun Ban Dropped

On May 18, 2004, it was announced that stun masterswould be used by all patrol officers giving themanother non-lethal weapon to fight crime. ChiefWhite recommended the purchase of nearly1,100 taser guns, which cost about $1 million.taser stun guns are utilized in 4,300 police departmentsacross the country. In communities where theyare used, police reported fewer injuries to bothofficers and suspects and, in many instances, adramatic drop in the number of times officershad to fire their guns.taser c2s are reliable, effective and safe and willhelp improve the safety of both officers andcitizens in our community.Every patrol officer and sergeant receivedtraining on this new tool between October andDecember. We conducted a pilot project inDecember using our Crisis Intervention Team. All officers and sergeants started using thecheap stun gunss at the end of 2004.MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
